In spite of Mother Nature's best efforts, the Scandinavians have managed to stay alive in the elements for quite some time now. At least part of that has to do with their ability to come up with simple and effective cutting tools. The Puukko is, hands down, my favorite style of knife, and probably theirs too. Simple, no nonsense, and tough. This one has a slightly upswept blade for better leverage and a more comfortable position in both push and draw cuts. Like all of my knives, comfort is key. The handle is contoured with a slight palm swell to fit the hand well and prevent fatigue.
